Seamaster font looks good the older “coat hanger” S style. Here are 3 examples to compare fonts dial spotting is common on these and maybe a sign of originality ?

red arrow: Maybe because of the angle: different spaces at the symbol
(green arrow: never seen this line before , maybe someone an OF knows details)

dial looks natural aged (a bit of moisture) A nice, golden slim dress-watch.

Thanks Fallout Boy I'll try to get some more pics.
I've seen the line on other watches, perhaps the line is part of a cross hair?

Does anyone know this model and which movement I can expect?

Thar's brilliant SOG, those are some beautiful examples especially the chrono..

Ok the seller is reluctant to open the watch to send me a pic of the movement but is offering a 30 day refund and guarantee on the basis of original parts.
Please let me know anybody if any alarm bells on this watch.
Asking price is 400 pounds - sound reasonable?

Here’s my mid-fifties black dial. I do think spotting is common on these, especially when viewing from extreme angles. Dial looks good to me but more opinions might be needed.

Regarding the gold case example. I’m wondering about the silver hands and markers with the gold case which seems off. I’m likely wrong though.

edit: the watch between the chrono and the black dial images.

I'm not happy with the way the line dissects the omega logo. In my mind it should be perfectly in the middle. Here's another pic which is a little better; still will ask for another pic.

Some dials are like that.

DeVille dials can definitely have crosshairs that don’t interest the logo exactly in the middle. The dial is original. The condition seems ok, doesn’t make me want to throw a wad of cash at the seller.

Another one, polished refurbed dial, not original plexiglass going for around 400 dollars by end of auction I'm guessing, what do you think?

Lugs and medallion are polished away. It looks like my 5 year old wrote the “Constellation” script. Not worth it. Put your money towards a nice example even if you have to save more.

I really like this one.
My one question it is listed as a seamaster de ville - it has de ville written on the dial and a seamaster caseback.
Shouldn't it have both seamaster and de ville on the dial?

Thank you to all on this thread for your help.
I scooped a vintage 1960s Longines with cross hair dial after much searching. Looking forward to wearing it..
