First time buying - max you would pay for something like this?

Hello! Thoughts on this Ebay listing for an engagement watch?

I'm mostly curious as to the max people would personally pay for something like this.

Much of the watch is not authentic; buckle, dial, and hands. Not sure about the rest, run away from this watch as fast as you can.

Quick advice; Look in private sales here, much safer in general.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and give me info! Maybe chrono24 is a bit safer for my expertise when looking for a purchase. but I'm still keeping an eye on the recommended vintage omega watch thread - one day something more in the style I'm looking for will pop up.

I would not buy a watch with a repainted dial. The seller is honest about it, but the watch is just junk.

Seller is known for very well presented, redialed, relatively expensive watches.

As the previous posters have mentioned, collectors would value this watch very low, but that's because collectors value originality.

However, if the person it will be for is not a collector and will enjoy the watch for how it looks now then there is a value associated with it.

Personally if I were to separate my collector brain from the equation I'd probably say $500 would be a good figure to pay
