Hi all, Just posting to let you know that earlier today I pulled the trigger on a SMDV from reputable eBay seller closer0924. It's my first vintage purchase. Shoutout to @BenBagbag for giving me the heads up. Bagged it for a decent price as well The listing didn't specify the Case Reference but it bears a striking resemblance to the 14910 https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-seamaster-de-ville-omega-ck-14910/. Does that look about right? Not a fan of the current band so will look to swap it for a black leather. Clear redial. I never recommended this one to you... Just kidding! This one is a good one IMO and will hold you over until you realize you need a constellation, and a speedmaster and a SM300 and a........ Enjoy it!
TBH I can never tell on Closer's listings what the dial looks like. His light box is so strong I assume most watches will look much less harsh than they appear.

lovely watch - well done. I think it looks great on that bracelet, but it'll also look just fine on a nice leather strap. A classy watch always looks good!.
Nice early-ish example, crown looks correct as well. You have to sift through a lot of listings but they do have some gems at reasonable prices.
Truer words etc. I scooped a lovely 166.002 SMDV off the bay 2 weeks ago. Received decent feedback from the OF stalwarts, too, which I am so grateful for. Reputable dealer, too. Arrived with a busted crown but otherwise gorgeous. Sent it home. Back on the hunt. Or rather, sift....
This just arrived in the post Hirsch black embossed leather strap on its way as this bracelet is a tad too big. It looks to be in great condition and another smooth sale from closer0924.
