I am just hopping into the vintage watch thing and have been looking for a good Speedmaster to go along with some other non-Omega watches that I have. I guess that I have been talking about them a lot around the house b/c as I was opening the 145-012.67 that I purchased from jens0125, my 10 year old son said, "look dad, it has a dot over 90." Thanks to gdupree for helping me search over the past few months. This is a great and informative site! Cheers. PS If anyone has a 1039/ 516 bracelet that they would like to sell, please send me a DM.
Congrats on the new addition to your collection. You shouldn’t have too much difficulty finding the bracelet, I recall one being offered for sale on OF a few months back.
Very nice example! There is a bracelet with endlinks for sale currently: https://www.ebay.com/itm/222783139054Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Great Speedy! If I was looking that’s one I would have done my utmost to bag. Good catch. All the best Nathan
A great Speedy! Maybe you could also consider the 1116 bracelet with 575 ends. It's period-correct and strong. Here's mine: Or a JB of course, this is mine today:
Very nice, but I prefer the Speedy on metal, either a "correct NASA" JB or something time-correct and original from Omega.
I do have a few other watches which I like a lot on leather but for some reason I just don't like a Speedy on leather. To me it looks as if something's missing. I quite like a NATO strap though. We all have individual preferences I guess.
