Given the respective sizes of the lugs, I believe that it may fit the 60th anniversary, not the FOIS.

I just came across the modern 19 mm bracelet 1587 / 986 for the Seamaster Automatic Aqua Terra and gave it a try to fit my FOIS.

I have also edited my first post in this threat and added some pictures.

FOIS on bracelet 1587 / 986

Hi, where did you purchase the 1587/986 bracelet? I'm looking for one for my AT annual calendar (all brushed links preferably)

Big Kudos to @zoohannover for finding and posting so many bracelet combinations for the FOIS.
I've only recently learned about the FOIS on vintage 1125 / 560 bracelet and this is still my favorite combination - especially the tapered vintage 1125.

I'm new to the forum, but not that new. I've been lurking here and there. It took me a while to find out tapatalk is disabled on this site and for apparently good reasons. Once, I got the tapatalk issue squared away I decided to finally sign up and join omegaforums.
I'm super hyped because my very first Speedy - the FOIS is due to arrive next week. Filled with anticipation and excitement I already splurged on a couple of 19mm leather straps and the Uncle Seiko Beads of Rice bracelet.

I would love to obtain all the parts for the 1125/560 combination. I've sourced some potential bracelets on the bay but they are terribly short (13.5 cm). That would definitely not fit my 7" wrist. I emailed O-frei if they could source some 560 end-links - still waiting on a response.
Finding extra links and endlinks can get very expensive. Wondering now if the OB route might be cheaper.

Anyway this is a great thread. Need to follow...
Cheers

FOIS on Uncle Seiko flat link. The bracelet is very well made, reasonably priced & gives the watch a new lease of life imo.

Any trouble getting the bracelet on?

It was a bit of a battle tbh. I got there in the end but no doubt have left a few scratches on the inside of the lugs (which I'm not that bothered about). This evening I put a second US flat link onto my 145.022-68. This also required a bit of pushing and shoving but looks great!

I'd definitely recommend the US bracelet as I was bored of the FOIS on a leather strap.

Have you looked at the Uncle Seiko 1171 bracelet? It's pretty similar to the 1125 and is available in a 19mm version, as well as being priced far below what a vintage 1125/560 combo would go for.

I could not help but look admire and buy from Uncle Seiko. Man has taste and talent . All for a respectable price.
I ended up ordering two bracelets from Uncle Seiko; The BoR and the flat-link.
Cheers

IMO, the US BoR on the CK is just perfection. A busier dial goes well with a busier bracelet. If I had a FOIS I would have probably gone for the flatlink (and still not ruling it out).

Another vote for the quality and value of UncleSeiko offerings.

And furthermore, they are fully compatible with most genuine Omega clasps from the period.

(not that there is any problem with the stock clasp, on the contrary, they good quality and faithful to the originals)

Thanks !
That one is 1223/214.
This one (on a US Holzer) is a 1162/173:

Both off ebay, different vendors.

But don't get too excited about specific clasp numbers, which refer to the bracelet and endlinks. These clasps were pretty generic at the time and you're likely to find different bracelets with the same three or four different clasp outer shells. As long as they are for a 16mm bracelet (at the clasp) and they have a 9.5/10mm opening for the bracelet (most I've seen do) you're set. Furthermore, you could just transplant the outer shell onto the US stock clasp. That's even easier.

I hope Omega releases other color variations on the CK 2998 in SS. I have bracelets that need to be attached to watches and I prefer the 2998 more than the Pro.

Comparison

I just came across the vintage version of the 1125 bracelet and tried it on my FOIS. See edited first post.
Here is a comparison of the modern and the vintage 1125 bracelet.

MODERN 1125 (left)
Three rows of arched links
Taper 19 mm – 16 mm
Width clasp cover 17 mm
Length clasp cover 33 mm
Smooth clasp cover, small tab for opening
Push pins for extra links
Cover inscription: Omega-Logo in bas-relief against square, blackened background
Clasp inscriptions etched: 32 (in circle), Stainless steel, 1125, Omega-Logo in triangle (pointed corners), OMEGA
Friction based closure with hook between the hinges.

Vintage 1125 (right)
Three rows of arched links
Taper 19 mm – 14,5 mm
Width clasp cover 15,5 mm
Length clasp cover 29 mm
Clasp cover with grooves on each side, small tab for opening
Screwed pins for extra links
Cover inscription: Omega-Logo in relief.
Clasp inscriptions stamped: 11 (in circle), Stainless steel, 1125, Omega-Logo in triangle (round corners), OMEGA
Friction based closure with hole and small hook.

Good news for the small wrists:
By removing all extra links and using the last hole in the clasp cover, the vintage 1125 can be shortened to 13,5 cm and the modern one even to approx. 13 cm

Very informative interesting thread.
I am probably about to commit a massive faux pas. But i am loving my speedmaster racing on the vintage 1125.
On one of the links it looks as though the screw head has been filled with solder? Are they all like this ( i very much doubt it)
Also interesting to note all the measurements of mine add up to the vintage model but the clasp has the same stamp as the modern.

Thanks for all the information. The spring bar in my vintage 1125 clasp could do with renewing. Would you know the size and reference of this?

Hi!

DiD anybody try a 1570/870? Does this fit? It is also a 19mm bracelet. From my point of view, it should work.

Kind regards

So the clasp code is 1125/617 for the first bracelet the OP posted on page one? Plus will need to order 2 2206 spring bars to install this bracelet on a FOIS?
