Do you guys think the Moonwatch is a better choice than the 57 Speedmaster Anniversary edition?
I think the 60th Anniversary would be my choice if you could find one. The 57 is nice because it's a coax movement.

Thanks for all the responses everyone. I went with the hesalite Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. I think I might try to get the Seamaster at some point as well. Do you guys think the Moonwatch is a better choice than the 57 Speedmaster Anniversary edition?

I don’t think there is a "better" choice. You got the ultimate classic omega chrono which has a few pros/cons to the 57 SM. If you find your self craving the diver with a coaxial movement you can likely sell the speedy for a minor or no loss and get into the Seamaster 57. Wear the speedy for a bit before making hasty decisions though

I'm a fan of both.
If I had to choose one, I'd go w the seamaster. Then buy the speedy later....
Just my $0.02

Hello all. I am trying to decide on my first Omega. The choice is between a 57 Seamaster 60th Anniversary and a Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Bradley,

That's a hard decision to make! Both are awesome watches with long historical backgrounds. I personally would choose the Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch because I think its involvement with space exploration is not only interesting, but makes it so much more unique than any watch in the world! Numerous popular watches have their real world inspiration, so I would recommend getting whatever watch correlates with what you are interested in(Even though space is definitely the coolest!). If you wanted to expand more on my favorite Omega read this:

"All six lunar missions had an Omega Speedmaster on board, and all served with immaculate distinction. Omega was even given the Silver Snoopy Award for its Speedmaster playing a crucial role in bringing home the stricken Apollo 13 spacecraft in 1970."
