Last week I finally took the plunge down into the rabbit hole of vintage Speedmasters with this lovely 145.022-74ST. It probably needs a service at some point (running pretty slow), and there is some dust under the crystal, but I absolutely love it. So, as it is my very first #speedytuesday, I thought I'd share it with you all! I took the first wrist shot during pre-flight in my friend's plane that I went up in for the first time in on Sunday, which is -- funnily enough -- a 1974 Rockwell Commander 112A. How cool is that? Thanks OF for all of your knowledge and especially to the member who sold me this watch! I think I'll be sticking around here for a little while. Wrist shots: Bonus plane shot:
Congratulations, looks great! My 74 says "Hi!"... https://omegaforums.net/threads/wruw-today.567/page-3182#post-635267
Not sure yet... I think I am going to hang on to it for a little while at least. It's running a bit slow; -12 seconds/day, which is certainly on the edge of what I could consider acceptable, but it's consistent. Chronograph works perfectly, second hand resets to 0 most of the time, sometimes it lands a tick to the right or left. Any recommendations? I'm on the US east coast (Virginia).
"Welcome to the Hotel Speedyfornia, you can check out any time you want, but you can never leave" Congrats to the beauty.
Dial looks great, I've recently acquired a 74 as well, I think they're the "bargain" speedmasters as of now... Wear it in good health !
