    Hi there,

Yesterday I purchased my first vintage Omega for myself after purchasing one for my wife last year. She looked at the modern Omegas but fell in love with this little one which she uses as her everyday watch. She also loves the idea that she has to wind it up!

Any information you can provide on these two timepieces would be appreciated. I know mine was a 1987 model, but what
    year(s) was my wife's made?

This is the first step on my way to a collection and wonder what others would recommend for our next watches?

Can't tell on year etc as I'm no expert, but you both have great taste...at least in watches. ;)

Just an update, I changed my watch after 30 days as I could not see the time as my eyesight is not what it use to be! I think it was down to gold face and gold hands. Anyway the jewellers shop was excellent they gave me all my money back and I just paid the difference. I guess there is no point in having a watch if you can't tell the time!

I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get my wife's strap replaced. It doesn't have pins and so it is glued. She would prefer to have the strap sewn, does anyone know where to get this done?

Nice watches you have there. I had exactly the same problem with not being able to read a Connie with a gold dial, so I gave it to my daughter.

You can get a strap for your wife's watch here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171355815128?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&var=470409263089&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I have bought a couple recently and the quality is great for the money. Just remember to use a couple of clamps while the glue is curing to get a great result.
