At some point in the distant future, someone will use the forum search for something animal- and watch-related and find this thread. She/he shall be none the wiser. 馃榿

Gone but not forgotten. Raised him from an egg. Lived with me 19 years.

Charlie was a tokay gecko; most care instructions for them are rampant bullshit. Yes, they'll survive you following that nonsense, but they won't thrive.

Yeah, y'all may have some wonderful pups, but Tucker was the Best Dog Ever, sorry.
Ferocious he was not, though.

And the most ferocious of all animals. In his natural environment. Use extreme caution when approaching.

I saw the original OP watch when it was listed and had no interest. My guess is that it will not be snatched away from the buyer. Not so desirable IMO.

This is a watch that will be fun to restore.

The things to hope go right are the integrity of the movement, that it will all go together, that the parts are all present, and you dont need to go begging for spares. Check also the column wheel which is hard to see - its probably ok but the photo made me want to double check.

Then the movement number, is it for a 145.012? Many watches from a watchmakers estate are there because the watchmaker assembeled it from parts and it was a pet project.

Now the dial. Without a re lume that is never going to appeal. Same with the bezel, its correct but unappealing.

So the buyer will have to restore the watch, and at the end of the day it may not be appealing, other than it was cheap.

I do not think it was a bargain. The seller is experienced, no fool.

I think he pitched the price just right.

Believe it or not, this dog only plays catch if I'm wearing this two-tone 166.0168 Seamaster; like the watch, she's the slim model.

Our dogs might be related!

Careful now!

Some lurker is going to want to snatch one of those ferocious animals, leaving the original buyer sans pet. 馃う

I like the patina on that last one by the way, but the collar is missing, and will be hard to replace.

There are spots on the dial and it doesn鈥檛 seem to be running in the pics.
