These blue dialed bivouacs are really nice. Thanks for sharing. Do you know if there was a performance purpose (I.e., easier to see) related to the blue dials, or just purely aesthetics?

After googling some of these, there is also blue dialed 53223. As an interesting note, I did see a blue dialed 53203 (as mentioned above) with that serial number on the case back — and that watch has the second hand register above the 6 o’clock position. However, the normal dialed 53203 - which was the first version of the bivouac - does not have the second hand register. Interesting... And BTW, thanks a lot for giving me yet another watch to add to my hunting list.... as if I didn’t have a long enough list... M

reading about the post I want to share a picture of my watch. I bought it from my watchmaker, very lucky to own such a diver

and recently I got lucky again to find a very rare beautifully made Favre Leuba SS bracelet for the Bivouac model, as far as I saw on the vintage adds, this is the right bracelet, now searching for the end links (not an easy task). The quality of this bracelet is same or even better than any GF bracelet (sharing some pics).I do have Certina GF bracelet and Eterna GF bracelet so I can say that this bracelet has a more solid construction and it's beautifully made

All fellow F-L enthusiasts, as FYI, have just posted the attached Bathy 50 for sale in the Private Sales forum. I was fortunate to acquire two, and I am letting this one go. If you are interested, please feel free to pm me. Best, M
