This is a very uncommon Favre Leuba Deep Blue from the early 60’s. This particular watch is an Mk1 first execution.

The case diameter is perfect measuring 39 mm w/o crown and 48 mm lug to lug.

This particular unidirectional rotating bezel is exceptionally rare using a count up scale progressing from 0 to 60. Almost all of the Deep Blue bezels that you’ll find will have a countdown bezel.

The automatic winding Favre Leuba movement was fully disassembled, meticulously cleaned and is accurately running without issue.

I believe that Everything is Original with the exception of new plexi and the bezel lume plot at 12 o’clock which were redone during the recent service. This early execution Mk1 dial and hands have Radium instead of Tritium (“Ra” denoted on the dial). The dial has experienced Radium burn I’m assuming due primarily to its 56 years of use. I personally love the character and warmth of this unique dial.

Price now reduced to $2,050 USD OBRO - Price includes PayPal and shipping within Canada and CONUS. I would prefer payment to be made in Canadian dollars.

I tried to take pictures to accurately capture the current condition of the case, dial, hands etc.

I have a lot of references

Thanks for looking

Rare to find these first execution Mark I's. And the radium burn on these looks pretty cool and "tropical" in the flesh. I have one that looks like the one in this ad and will never part with it..

By the way what's the difference between the 1st execution and the 2nd? Any idea? I see some have cutved writing and some straight.

1st execution: metal count up bezel insert, unsigned non-screwdown crown, bezel ratchets by a different mechanism (unable to see as it's beneath bezel) on 1st relative to 2nd. So cases look identical until bezels are removed.

2nd execution: plastic count-down bezel. signed screwdown crown. bezel mechanism different as described above.

And not sure about the different dials as I've seen a bunch that differ. Assuming that the 1st execution would be radium and the 2nd execution radium, followed by tritium for later versions.

Anyone out there care to add to this or correct me if I'm wrong here?
