Father's Watch, please help identify :)

Hi, first post here!

Just before my father passed away he gave me this Omega. I think he had it for his 21st birthday (he was born 1951, which could possibly place the watch around 1973?)

Just wondering if anyone had a clue as to what model it could be as I'm yet to see one that similar on my amateur google searches!

Any help would be very welcome 馃榾

Thanks,

Tom

Found one that looks almost identical:

The example above is a 9K gold UK market model. These had different case reference (model) numbers than standard Swiss made cases. There is some information about that in the Reddit thread.

If you read the thread, ignore the comment about it being a redial. This is not a Seamaster Cosmic.

Very nice watch! 馃憤

51 plus 21 is 72, just saying! It does indeed look like a Shackman made UK cased early 1970s solid 9k gold Omega. Is the bracelet welded on? Shackman made some lovely gold Milanese bracelets, I have one for a Rolex.

That鈥檚 a really nice watch to remember your dad by, it has one of the best movements from the golden era of Omega and one of the nicest cases for the Seamaster line.
