After a couple of weeks of searching, I was very pleased to come across a decent example 1967, CB case, 25mil serial 550 movement for the US market, 4th gen bezel 165.024. Everything appears to be in nice original condition, except the bracelet that has "no.12" stamped on the clasp and "47" on the end links. I already had a NOS Tropic and a 1170 with 633 endpieces. I am excited to add this one to the herd. Below are some pics...
Very nice. FWIW my 165.024 has a cal 550 with a 2793xxxx serial. The extract of records puts the the production date at June 1969.
I don't think the number 12 on the clasp is anything to do with the number on the end links. 17 end links could well be correct.
Congrats... and correct bezel for the serial range. However, do change the crystal to the correct domed version. Soft dome towards the edge.
