fake vintage Seamaster?

Hello there, I am Olivier, from Paris, new to the forum.
I enjoy vintage wristwatches and usually do some repairs on cheap watches I buy on the flea market (mostly french and swiss calibers, for 10 to 20 bucks. I never buy nor repair any valuable watch, prefering to leave those to certified profesionals.
Nevertheless I fell for an Omega Seamaster for around 100$ last week. After reading most posts about fakes on this forum I cannot quite make my mind if this is a total or partial fake, The most dubious part is the clumsy way "OMEGA" is engraved on the caliber which does not look like an Omega, except for the copper colour. What about the dial and the back?
I am conscious this might not be a very exciting post but I would appreciate some hints about this watch (which runs fine and does not look bad on my wrist anyway.
Thanks for all the precious advices on this forum!
Olivier

Total fake.

Consider it a $100 lesson.

You need to take a step back from buying if you are falling for junk like that. Hallmarked solid 18K but the plate is obviously wearing off. There about 5 red flags with that pointing to the fact it is fit for nothing more than the bin. Nothing about it is genuine.

I concur with you wholeheartedly

Olivier,

As we say in French, je ne veux par tirer sur l'ambulance, but I have to say that this is one of the worst fake Omega I have seen in a long time. You could have lost more than $100 so that's not too expensive a lesson to learn. You might want to include the picture of the dial in the worst dials thread.

Where did you buy it?
