Fake vintage MG style Omega buckles (?)

I picked up some straps and buckles assuming they’d be correct as I hadn’t seen fakes before, but it turns out that there are no markings on the back, and they appear to be made out of brass (or similar) as the pins are rubbing through and the one where the symbol has fallen off appears to show yellow metal in the torn spot weld. Have others seen these previously ?



To put this into context they were bought in a lot that contained some other Omega bits, a single correct crown and another buckle which looks better. A bit of a mystery, and a bit of a surprise.

They don't look like aftermarket to met, but you can always live and learn! Why go to that length to fake them and then not stamp them?

If they were stainless steel and/or on Omega signed leather bands I’d be a bit less skeptical, but as it stands I’m not sure at all. Any ideas @omegastar ?

I have had two or three of these unsigned but if I remember correctly they were in steel. They look original but ...

Sometimes a look is at the spring bar may help, as the original spring bar is generally the missing detail.
