Maybe you can help me. Can you tell me if this watch is a true or fake omega seamaster ? If it’s true, can you tell me how you see that and what is the serial number ? For the moment, I don’t have find this watch on Omega’s website.
    Thank you very much.
    Good afternoon !

It's a genuine omega. You can find the modelnumber and serialnumber in the inside. It's a unishell case which means you can open it only from the dial side. You can ask a watchmaker to do this.

Looks genuine to me. It looks like a pre-Deville SM model would most likely be 14770-2, I have a similar watch in all stainless, but with no lume and different markers.

Sharper images of the dial would helpful to see if there are lume plots at the end of the markers- that would tell if the hands are original. Since it’s pre-‘63, there wouldn’t be any T’s next to Swiss Made” since it would be radium.
Veterans- correct me if I’m wrong in this assessment.

It’s also in really nice shape. If you pick up, ditch that nasty stretchy bracelet and throw it on a nice brown/burgundy croc and it will pop.

Depends how much time you want to keep looking. 590 is not that bad although I would try to get it to EUR 500. With service you're in for EUR 800. That's app max market value. As said, loose the bracelet (although the fixoflex was probably delivered original together with the watch) and buy yourself a nice alligator strap. The dial seems to be very attractive. For me personally that's the most important thing.

Too high. Gold capped are not highly desirable (this is not solid gold, just the bezel is gold), so that hurts the value compared to all stainless. It will need to be serviced, even if it’s “running” as all the oils inside will be bone dry by now- that will add about €200 +/-.
I would say, if it were running and keeping time right now, but knowing it will need a service- about €350 is the highest I would go.

I think that’s really high for gold capped. But then again, I’m not a fan of them so don’t watch them as closely as I do the stainless.

You're right. But I've sold a lot of similar gold capped seamasters for app 800 (especially if they were serviced). But personally I would never pay EUR 590 or 500. But I think OP is not searching for omega's three hours a day. ;) So that's why I said it depends how much time you're willing to search...

Completely agree with you, and if I were buying it from a forum member in as-in condition I would agree with your assessment-but in a private party sale, I always go low....you dont know what your gonna find when you open that case

Unfortunately, most of the time you know what you’re gonna find....

This watch belonged to a collector. He had other brands like Rolex and Breitling with the maintenance books. For the omega there is not notebook unfortunately but the visuel aspect is good. I like this watch a lot (except the bracelet) ! I will negotiate 500 €.

It sounds like you really like it, then go for it and enjoy. See if he’ll throw in a real crocodile strap for it- that will sweeten the deal.
