This itemPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network is yet the latest in a long line of fake gold Connies listed on eBay. Still not perfect but the inner case back markings are getting better. Easily identified by the 091919 mark. Metal of the case is pinchbeck.

I've reported it and the more people who do the greater the chance that eBay may do something about it.

    Cheers

Desmond, what's the significance of 091919?

It means fake in ancient Inca code. Tale of the 9 19s. Bad juju.

These Thai made fakes are a little different to the Chinese who can fake anything with impunity. By stamping a non-existent number on the case back, they think cannot be pursued locally for counterfeiting as the watch does not purport to be a specific model. But they can be had for infringement of the gold regulations and of course copyright law, such as it is in Thailand.

    But, I like Steve's explanation better :)

    Cheers

"The dial and case on this watch are fake. The movement is real."

My report to eBay. Can only say so much with 100 characters.

"Fake" equals 4. The other 96 can be Joizey expletives.

I think, one has to be a serious enthusiast or an expert to pick up a genuine Constellation, today. There were frankens and fakes since long ago but as of today, it seems they dwarf the population of the genuine ones.

    Thank-you.

Reported the De Ville knock-off, the other brands are not in my wheelhouse, but given he has 0 feedback, eBay will probably boot him.
