Fair price for this 145.022 (-68?)

Why not? Most everyone else would. The 68ST was only offered for ~1yr and the unique dial makes it quite collectible versus later examples of the 145.022.

It's your opinion.

Pay a premium vs a 145.012-68? I wouldn’t: the 321 wins for me. Pay a premium vs a 145.022-69, certainly since it has a nicer dial in several respects as you say. Don’t worry, the Spambot above often posts enigmatic single liners with no explanation. It’s best to ignore it I find.

This is the second time that you are mistaken about me, or should I say lying. Next time I'll report you to the staff members.

And most everyone else’s. You’re very much in the minority believing that a 68ST is not worth a premium over other vintage 145.022s.

No doubt he is aware of this. If everyone liked the same thing it would be a boring world.

The 145.022-68 with AML definitely trades for a premium over later 145.022 examples, that's just a fact. Whether or not a particular person is willing to pay extra for it is a separate issue.

Swell. You could conduct a survey.

I wouldn't pay it.

There’s an old Irish proverb, “an rud is annamh is iontach” or "what's rare is wonderful" (literal meaning “the thing that is seldom is wonderful”).

As an owner of three 145.022 69s and a 145.022 76 I’d definitely think a premium is justified for the 68.

There is one already - it's called the market...

He's not arguing that. Just saying he wouldn't value it higher. Much like many people pay more for a silver snoopy or pay above retail for a rolex gmt, but many people would not pay extra for one of those.

As much as I disagree with spacemission on the 145.022-68, I fully understand and appreciate that it doesn't float his boat, or put lift in his sail.

I said nothing about what he was or was not arguing. All I'm saying is that no survey is needed, as the market has already told us what the majority think.

It would be funny. This thread is fine. Please, dealers, flippers, phonies, etc. out.

You know my opinion about the premium. The next one.
