Not really as it’s not an issued piece. It was most likely sold at the base exchange.

Yes It´s a really nice piece - thank you Patrik.

I bought it on an auction in Germany. According to the auction house, it was the first owner who desided to sell via the auction house. I tried to get hold of the original owner, but without succes. It could have been fund to hear the story behind the watch.

I hope so - eventhough I´m not planning to sell it. It´s a keeper!

What does PX, BX, NEX or MCX stands for? According to the sales text ind the auction catalogue the watch was bought in a US PX Army store en Frankfurt Germany. I have no clue what that means

I still do think it adds additional interest ;)

Well none of the other ones that show delivery for sale at a PX for either MOD (NAAFI) or US military has ever had a price bump due to that. So to answer your statement that you don’t know how much it affects the price.... it’s 0%

@Bille they are tax free stores on military bases for military personnel and family.

I believe PX stands for Post Exchange, BX stands for Base Exchange, NEX stands for Navy Exchange and MCX stands for Marine Corps Exchange.

Also, a hearty congratulations are in order regarding that spiffy watch!

Yes, most definitely! watches delivered to U.S. Army exchanges are more valuable than watches delivered to any of the other military services! :)

now in a more serious note, great looking watch you got there! Enjoy!

I would say this is a personal preference. There are plenty of people prepared to pay more for this kind of remark on an EOA. Issued or not it is an extra point of interest. I would add 10-15% for it

    Fabulous example, nice find OP!

To add a bit - the PX is the general store on an army base. Usually prices are a bit better than in the local shops. And you can buy peanut butter and other essential foods that foreigners for some reason refuse to produce :D

    No problem, sir.

Also, it looks like the “Puddle Pirates” have their own Exchange system as well...CGX. :D

Peanut butter? I hate it - I´m married to an American girls, and she is forcing me to eat it. If I would have known that before we got married - I maybe would have thought twice about marrying her:p:D
