Hi, wondering if anyone has received their extract from archives from UG after their acquisition by Breitling? I sent my request ~ 4 months ago, had some lukewarm response a few weeks later saying "we are busy, let us get back to you" and same sort of DM exchange on UG's official account, and its been crickets ever since.

Well I assume the archives are still lost so what do you expect anyway? You will not get more than a description of the watch and a date according to the Sala table. How much do they charge you for it?

I expect an extract from the archives with whatever information they can provide. Whether it is worth it or not is probably subjective and it’s worth it to me. The archives are not “lost” either - they had been providing them for years and I am simply asking if anything has had one issues/received since Breitling lot took over. Hope this clarifies.

They are lost. So the information you get is what they see 😉

I wouldn't leap to any conclusions at this point.

They are understandably focused on the relaunch, new watches etc.

Many of these company's records were sketchy to begin with, and many were destroyed over the years. Too many people are overly enthusiastic about an extract of their watch. Most aren't worth much.

I've always been curious about the story of the lost archival records. Any leads on where the originals might have ended up?

Chances are excellent that they just ended up in the trash. Like the archives of so many other defunct companies (even if this one is being resurrected).
