Both great watches. You won’t be disappointed with either.

I prefer the 36mm Explorer so personally would go for the BB58... still regret selling mine a couple of months ago.

Mike, forget all the pictures you’ve ever seen from the Explorer 214270. Go out and try to find one and I swear, the moment you’ll see this beauty on your wrist you’re sold. It’s very hard to capture the beauty of this watch on pictures but it’s the perfect piece for your three watch collection. The BB58 is a very nice watch, also the SMP but don’t make any mistake you gonna regret someday when you see the 214270 on another wrist. Trust me!

were i can buy that strap?

It’s just the evening lights. 😉

The 16570 would be my second recommendation for the TO. It’s another beauty and versatile watch.

As you’ve mentioned a Speedy but looking for smaller sizes, did you ever consider the FOIS? It’s just 39mm and also a beautiful chrono.

Here’s my CK2998 and it’s literally the same watch just in blue.

I really like the CK2998. I’ll have to check that one out in the flesh

I finally took the plunge. And you are absolutely right. This watch is near perfect; absolutely stunning. Easily my favorite watch right now.

This [Speedmaster] is one I’ve put in my shirt list. You know, I WISH I could get into chronos and especially the Speedmaster; however, they are never watches I truly covet. This special addition Speedy, however, is one that truly stands out to me. It’s definitely one id like to try on and play with a bit

I own quite a few of the references you are considering or that have been recommended I would go with the 214270 because of the versatility it affords a small collection. While I like the thought of a Speedy, I think with two Omegas it would be nice to diversify your collection.

BB58 -- I really like the look of this watch but am disappointed by the execution. Specifically there is no half link for the bracelet and only three notches of adjustment in the clasp. I personally believe this is to differentiate Tudor from Rolex and their bracelet/clasp combination. I even tried adding the easylink from my Explorer to see if that would work, but the screws are different widths. I have had the BB58 less than 3 weeks but am considering selling it already because the bracelet does not fit me well.

.

I agree 100%. I’m one of those in this boat. I’m thinking people with 6.75 to 6.9” wrists will find the Tudor bracelet either too tight or too loose. Since the AD is unlikely to size the bracelet to you without you buying it, you may not know until you own it. The Rolex has a half-link built into the clasp and depending on your wrist size that will make all the difference in the world
