I am trying to get some understanding on the production of the Evil Nina vs the White dial Nina
I would like to know if anyone knows if Nina is rarer than the white Nina.
Is the Evil Nina production less than than the white dial?

    Thanks
    Olivier

    Hello Olivier,

The 885103/02 Compax "Nina Rindt" with the white dial and the 885103/01 "Evil Nina Rindt" for the black dial seem's to be produced in the same quantity. The white dial is probably more attractive because of his similarity with the Rolex Daytona of the same era !

Thanks, that makes allot of sense. What about the exotic Compax? I presume those where low numbers?

Definitely the rarest of all ! The last tropical Compax (Tri-Compax) on the market was sold in minutes for 34.000€ ...

I think the Nina is attractive because of its own merits, just as the panda Zenith A384 is a beauty, not because of their similarity with other watches.

2nd that buddy! Nina is attractive based on its own unique beauty. I personally never see it as a sibling to the Daytona. Between both, I would get the Nina if i have the means.

Guys, for sure the Nina is awesome by its own merits ... This watch is perfect in every way, size, weight, hands and perfeclty balanced !

But we can't deny the influence of sport Rolex watches on others manufactures ! ;)

Here is mine. (For sale, new project ...)

Sadly I have to share it with my baby dog ...

Even though I have a nice collection, I will always feel that I missed the party on these. Just cannot justify the premium.

the price on the evil nina are just insane, it is just another valjoux 72 powered watch and like Larry S, I can't justify the premium especially when buying a valjoux 72

And so is a Heuer Autavia 2446M o 3646 but price is similar if not more than the Nina (while nina has a better quality V72). You cant just look at the movement, it is the package...

Its a relative bargain when compared to the Rolex Daytona with the same movement...
If you are so concerned about the value of the lowly v72...look for one of these, just as good as the UG :)

I am not the expert.. But I was told that the Nina is much rarer than the evil nina. Or perhaps it was not the production numbers but the number of outstanding examples known today? There is a large price difference..

That looks like a very rare (if not the rarest) aero compax reference 22703 ? if so, hands are correct!

I've been mulling over this "barn find" for a while but not been able to pull the trigger - the heavily patinated dial and damage to the case back were enough to put me off in addition to the long trip it would have to make to the UK and the taxes I'd have to pay but I could be very wrong as I suspect the asking price is quite fair.

@timex you had better make your mind up quick before I change mine!
