every watch collection should have this Omega...

The one feature I am unable to get past with this model is that arrow minute hand. I won’t be adding one to my collection any time soon. And if one falls into my lap by chance, I’ll swap out that hand (or the pair), first chance I get.

With such a bold title, I’m surprised there hasn’t been more pushback or at least some discussion of classic “x” vs “y” in this thread. As Eminem declared “we all need a little, controversy...”

AT is a good option, but I would argue the GM (Globemaster) is better...

I don’t personally own one yet, but in the event I decide to get a dressier Omega, that will be my choice...

forgive my ignorance on this matter, but besides the Speedmaster 125, does any Omega have an applied “Omega” that isn’t one piece?

Have a look at the De Ville range, lots of space between letters on the watches

Okay I'll push back. There's is no "one watch" the "everyone" needs in their collection, so the premise is faulty IMO.

Current model blue face (one variant, anyway), on OEM rubber strap and bracelet. Not sure it's a required watch, but I like it a lot and agree it's quite versatile.

...and no, it's not Omega's most iconic property, the Speedmaster, but rather a blue-dialed Aqua Terra. Doesn't matter the reference - I feel like this has been one of Omega's most quietly excellent offerings for the better part of the last decade.

Nobody does blue dials like Omega, and regardless of your position on the teak orientation, or date window position or framing, or any other similarly pedantic details, when it boils down to it, I just can't imagine another more versatile, capable, or consistently gorgeous blue-dialed watch in my collection. Show yours if you agree!
What is that black strap? Looks good.

I was really close to buying the 15000 gauss AT model but then I saw a speedmaster and it was all over red rover. I really liked the watch though ! The size was a bit overpowering at 41.5 and the use of color I thought would be hard to match clothing too. It had a really beautiful tobacco color on it though.

The blue seems nice but I guess I'm not the biggest fan. The best AT's I've seen are for me the 15000 gauss and some of their white dials. I like the golf with white / orange accents a lot and I really like the two tone dials. I guess for me blue dials always look better in gold instead of stainless.

I mean, not that one exactly - I'm just making a case for any blue-dialed Aqua Terra. Here's another hitter:

Love mine. The blue dial is awesome.

If I was only buying on dial alone (don't be too hard on me... lol) I would probably go with the blue dials on the GS's , they are pretty amazing especially in the metal... although at a higher price point. (not my pic, taken from online search and btw what animal fur is that? raccoon?)

Of course not! 😲

Of course it is! 😁

Okay I'll push back.
And that's what keeps watch forum threads going and going and going... 👍

I picked this one over Omega.
Not my photo.

I don’t agree😉 The gray dial is better imho. This one I bought just to let my 17 years old son wear it. That’s the reason why it’s the quartz version. I must admit I’m tempted to buy a gray dial co-axial for myself

As long as you don’t try to tell me which one! But really, is one watch a “collection”? 😀

Are we talking the modern De Ville line? I thought those were all painted? Regardless, I agree that it’s an odd choice. Obviously a one piece logo is easier to apply, and therefore reduces cost, but it looks a little janky.

Of my six Omegas, I have to say that my AT is my favorite.

Possibly my favorite in my collection. AT's change color so dramatically depending on light.
