So which watch is it?
Not trying to be elusive or cryptic or a peckerhead at all but I am a firm believer in Goochers (messing up something by talking about it or being too specific or outright stating what something is before it arrives or occurs) and would rather get it to my house and in my hands safely before going into details about brand & model...
please forgive me and excuse this rather idiotic & asinine superstitious side of me while I wait for my Railmaster -- I promise y'all will be the first to know what I got as soon as it gets here.
I understand- the evil shipping god is related to the evil car god. That dude is always listening when you say “oh, it’s been years since I’ve had a ticket”
It’s just plain common sense not to talk about financial windfalls or even general good luck in the presence of household appliances and motor vehicles.
Today's Latest Refresh Reveals...
45 minutes away from my front door in El Paso and, I would guess, arriving to my wrist tomorrow.
Cue: Carly Simon's "Anticipation"!
El Paso- Denver-Seattle-Chicago-Houston-Calgary-back to customs in Jamaica, NY for 3 weeks- Boise- Houston, hold at office for pick up.
Ahh this brings back memories... I ordered a bracelet from a member in another country. The international shipment took a few days to hit US customs 👍. It sailed through customs in a single afternoon, via USPS👍. Took two days to get from NY to CA 👍 and a few hours after that, was in my destination facility 👍. The next morning I refreshed the tracking to see "out for delivery" 👍..... ohhh but 60 minutes north of me 😕. In the time between me going to bed and the next morning, someone had loaded it onto a truck and it was in a new city and out for delivery there. Thank fully it wasn't delivered, but it did spend the next week touring all the local USPS facilities, each a short driving distance to me. It eventually hit a facility 45 minutes from me and staid idle for four days. Despite me working from home and having been home when the USPS driver came to my house, there was a slip in my box saying it was ready to be picked up. Sails through NY customs in an afternoon but then takes two weeks to be delivered...
For the past 11 hours it has been travelling the exceptionally long distance of 41 miles between El Paso and my front door... doesn't say "Out for Delivery" only "Toward Destination" so I guess when it arrives locally it's not getting to me today.
Took three days to get from Tokyo to Los Angeles, one day from Carson CA to El Paso TX -- three days to get from El Paso to 41 miles northwest.
United Slow Postal Syrup.
Hoping tomorrow.
Look forward to your Christmas update
