·Gorgeous Eterna-matic Kontiki 20 in a unique variation. The slate-blue crosshair dial is complemented by square indices with a textured pattern. At high magnification, their intricate design resembles the sound-proof tiling employed in music studios. Although I have been collecting Eternas for years, I have never seen anything like this one before, and it is, perhaps, a custom-made piece?
This model, from the mid-1960s, also has two-tone stick batons.
Overall, the watch is in decent, unpolished condition, with signs of general wear. There are some small marks on the lower left front of the case, and the dial shows minor signs of ageing. Gold medallion on back is in good shape. Crown is a replacement, though the appropriate one can be easily sourced.
This is a good-sized piece for a vintage watch, measuring 37mm across w/o the crown. 18mm lugs.
Movement is very clean, and though service history is unknown, it's running strong, and keeping good time.
Comes on a plain brown strap.
