Nice looking watch, I missed this one by $2! It's very 30T2RG-ish, which is one I won't be able to purchase for a while.

I knew you were a fan of their 50's - 70's watches. I might tap your brain for some knowledge sooner or later. For now, I'm content with my 1466U and this 1479 but who knows how long that will last.

BTW, do you have a link or source for dating by serial number?

Did you lose the information I sent you a couple of weeks ago? Please send me a PM and I will resend.
I friend of mine got a watch like that not too long ago. They are very nice. Good news is that they are also very common, so another should come along shortly.

    Take care,

Try using this page. This is how I started. Maybe that person is no longer with the company.

Here's an Eterna-Matic Centenaire, circa 1956 (celebrating the company's 100 Year Anniversary) and the thinnest watch at the time. Movement is Eterna 1429 U, Serial No. 4,1xx,xxx. According to Ranfft watch movement database - full rotor automatic 18,000 BpH with 47 hour power reserve. Lightly "freckled" dial with an elegant and timeless look. I'm a sucker for factory case back engravings and medallions.
