Interesting! What caseback does it have?
No medallion like the other manual ones I've seen, sorry for the bad cropped photo.

Thanks - that is a nice watch you have. 👍
Thank you, the condition is flawless 😀

I’m looking out for an original GF-bracelet, anyone know if its the same bracelet and ends for both cases (this smaller 34.5mm and the larger 36.5mm)?

Does anyone know what the dot like logo represent? I should probably just Google it right? Very nice watches

This is to represent the 5 ball bearing automatic winding rotor.

Image from timeandtidewatches.com

Other manufactures had implemented central rotor driven automatic winding mechanisms, but Eterna was the first to develop the ball bearing supported winding rotor, hence providing superior winding efficiency.

Eterna had been around for a long time before the 5 bearing rotor, but this innovation became iconic for the brand & was eventually adopted as the company logo.

Eterna is my favorite brand and their Kontiki one of my favorite models. It tops my current wish list. Thanks for the inspiring read and pics in this topic!

A bit better bracelet, at least an Gay Freres and from the correct year but a Tissot and not Eterna.
Looks okey but original ends fits a bit better, still looking out for an original Kontiki bracelet!

Ok easy enough for shortening the bracelet. Sorry if y'all know this but when you flip this bracelet over, you will see that all of the center links are quite hollow and have a split in the middle. I carefully used the pin end of a spring bar tool (an extra one) to slip into the hollow of the center links from the side and wedged them open a bit. I then used a jeweler's screwdriver to pry them open more. Once they were open a bit, i was able to slip the links apart by sliding the open center links off the bar that runs between the outer links. I took one out from each side this way and put them back together. I used the body of a permanent marker to press the center links closed again. It's a pretty tinny bracelet but I think it looks best on the watch. Might have to buy a donor watch to have a spare.
Thanks!
With this description, I was able to move two links to the other side of the bracelet. Now it fits with the clasp nicely in the middle. 367433089_254095204122554_1608926384804702545_n.jpg

What do you think of this? Just worked out a deal with the seller. Crown isn’t signed with the 5 dots, but it looks pretty damn good otherwise. I love the black dial and date wheel—not very common. Maybe a little polishing on the case, but lugs still have nice lines. GF bracelet looks stretched, but I can deal with that.

Just perfect. Congrats!

My kontiki is coming back from service tomorrow! ::psy::

Congratulations! That's a Beaut

That has just reminded me I ought to get my simple Kontiki 20 out and wear it. It doesn't get enough wrist time

I have yet to see another one with these tower markers. When I got it, it was running poorly, so I had it serviced. The watchmaker, for some unknown reason, removed the original crown and put on a crappy replacement that looked awful. When I asked him for it back he said he had thrown it away. I sourced an original crown luckily but it took me a while.
