Went to the NYC GTG monday....
A few "dealers" were there... with hundreds of watches... this one was on the bottom of the pile...

Simple manual wind movement , I would almost call it a Calatrava BUT its WAY too Big at almost 38 mm in diameter not counting lugs or crown... ( maybe 37.7 mm ) ...
AND is in a water proof designed style cased aka a "Clamshell" ...

The distinct "Clamshell" case was patented in 1936 by Schmitz Freres & Co., and acquired by Gallet in 1937. It consists of a two-part case, one part fitted over a specialized flared crystal, and then the second component. Those two parts are then clamped together and screwed down at four different points, with the screws located under each lug.

Uncommon size , uncommon case construction , classic dial layout...
Any no one wanted to step up to the bar to buy it...
Seller was great after a little conversation , the deal was done.
