Seriously if I ever got a woman to put up with me long term I'd be like, let me buy me watches, you can write on the card 😉 Or buy me clothes. Or maybe shoes, I like shoes.
But no letting your Mrs buy you watches. You have to pretend you like them... and its difficult to dump it without hurting feelings... ugh.
Cartier is the only brand many of the girls know, bless 'em. Keep that in mind when YOU are buying presents - that moldy old Minerva or Angelus won't get her bragging rights with her friends, no matter how horologically fascinating it is to you. It's Cartier or bust! (Maybe Chopard too, the one with the loose diamonds, they dig that....)
My wife does know her Zenith and she bought herself an Elite moonphase. But I am trying to restrict her watch knowledge. Or else I won't be able to tell her a Lange costs as much as an Omega.😁
