Possibly purchasing this. Anything I should watch out for like fakes or other issues. Also, what's the fair market value for one in mid condition? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Wesley, who offered the watch to you? I was offered the same watch 4 days ago and bought it. It’s Allready on its way to me. So wether someone scammed me or scamms you.

I'm located in Oklahoma. Supposed to meet in person Monday. Does that coincide with the one you bought?

Damn! I will try my best to get his personal information. Maybe we can stick it to him! I'll let you know.

The parcel he shipped (160$ shipping costs with FedEx that he paid) is allready in Cologne, so maybe I have it in my hands on Monday before your meeting. Is there a procedure to involve police from over seas? I can provide you with the whole chat I had with him of course.

I hope that you are able to get this sorted and Nico can get his money returned. Assuming that the watch is not in the package, involving the police sounds like the right thing to do.

@wesley03. Could you please delete the pics. I will do the same. Chances are minimal he will find this posting, but better he or someone he knows will not find it here and back out.

So, seller and buyers are from the USA, correct? Why was overseas police mentioned ?
And meeting in person: use a public place. Like a library, a bigger Bank branch during the day with a security guard aso . Pay with a Bank granted cheque , not Cash. That can be followed up by police. Or have something in writing that you need to check with your Watchmaker, that the Mvmt. Is in fact Enicar and ok. and reserve the right to reverse the deal within 3 days, if problems arrise. Then you need his name, address and social security number. To send it back to the seller for a refund. That should work without raising suspicion. Good luck.

Video record the opening of the package.

At least not for my parcel. Got it 2 hours ago and was as expected empty. Wrote a mail to the local police with the whole case and hope that @Wesley03 will find something out too. Filmed the opening of the parcel of course and asked FedEx if they have Xray pics (not sure if they save them).

Oh Dear ... The worst possible outcome. Very sorry, Nico. We all have been there. Yours will be a substantial loss....

Wow, that is such flagrant fraud. Awful. I assume you paid by bank transfer or you would have mentioned pursuing a PP refund.
