·Hi all, up for sale is a lovely ENICAR MEMOSTAR Ref-298-01-01 from the 60’.
Fully serviced by previous owner (OF member Bristnj Jeff) 2018.
Enicar Memostar from the 60s are truly something special and super rare. This example is a true beauty and a stunning example of a vintage watch from the Enicar Swiss manufacturer.
Unpolished case, sharp edges and measures a nice 40 mm with a fairly wide-set bezel that gives the watch a nice presence.
The Enicar-logo alongside the silver indexes and beautiful blue hands are harmonious and well balanced. Perfect proportions, timeless styling, and a great reference to the 60s.
It is a splendid model inside and out.
The dial is overall in clean condition with the original lume, it features a two-tone composition with the inner silver circle where you can set the alarm-time with. Crystal was replaced with an original NOS “Omega Memomatic” crystal as they both use exactly the same case! (Omega and Enicar released nearly identical watches using the same Lemania automatic movement). A perfect fit, with the Enicar minute track/retaining ring fitted perfectly.
The crown is original with the appropriate GP-logo.
A pecial feature of this watch is the alarm function which can be set by using the crown and activated by being pulled out. The date can be set with a fast set pusher in the middle of the two crowns.
This WRISTCLASSIC is powered by a Lemania 2980 movement, running strong and keeping time well, completely services only a few years back.
