Even though one would think it's an easy fix, loose and ill-fitting end links can sometimes involve quite a bit of geometry and getting them to match up to the case is not always an easy task. Merely bending them where one would suppose is needed doesn't always work and could make the fit worse. Sometimes I have given up and let a pro like an experienced watchmaker deal with it.

Me too. I was considering adding, and I shall now, that if you have never done this before, let your watchmaker do it.

Probably depends on the particular end-link. The number 6鈥檚/516鈥檚 are so malleable that bending them back for a better fit is simple for someone even with all thumbs.

Sometimes it is the first link that actually grabs the springbar going loose. It was the case on my 1040 bricks bracelet for a c case connie so might be worth checking that too.

Totally agree with you here, before Corona ill fitting endlinks were one of life's irritations.

Sometimes what one would think an obvious tweak works wonders and other times it just makes the situation progressively worse.
