Well. No Zenith but all El Primero. The first automatic chronograph shown in public was none on the earlier mentioned candidates. Never made commercial sales though.

I'm not sure what it is about the El Primero...but it's really starting to grow on me...especially the one with the colorful minutes sub-dial. The El Primero just looks sturdy, business-like and fun all at the same time.

The schizophrenic diver's and pilot's watch, Zenith El Primero ref. 01.0240.415, one of fifty with display back. For the unobstructed view on the movement I substituted the metal bracelet by a strap. Cheers, Mick
I love the combination of the dark deep red color and the matte silver registers and indices on this Zenith El Primero ref. A781. But I'm not sure about the blue chronograph seconds needle. Cheers, Mick
