First of all please be gentle lol it’s my first UN.
Aquired this strange bird, what is going on with the dial .
No “Automatic” script and nonsense made (crown is signed )
It is an automatic I can hear the rotor,I wish I could show the movement but I’m stumped how to open it.
I think it’s a monocoque case (although that circle on case back sides look like an access point.
And if it does open through the front how goes one about it.
I will see my watchmaker in a couple of weeks l’m sure he will figure it out but I’m curious, does the crystal pop off or the ring with it?
So is this a redial because I’m certain it’s supposed to be a ref 10915.

That is a nice catch, congratulations!

You are right, this is a ref. 10915 from the late 1960s to early 1970s. The "Nakahiro" catalog from Japan lists it for the year 1970, it's no longer in the 1972 version. I'll append an image from the catalog.

It's definitely a monocoque case / frontloader. You can see this here (along with some pretty movement shots):
https://www.etsy.com/de-en/listing/4440778732/ulysse-nardin-extra-rare-1960-automatic

The way to open it is by removing crown & crystal first, then lift movement & dial out the front. Leave this to a watchmaker.

The dial is strange, I agree. It should have the "Automatic" script. And it should have "Swiss Made" on the bottom... then again, I have seen a few without the "Swiss Made". I'm leaning towards this being a redial, though a good one... the "Ulysse Nardin" script is almost right, but a bit too thin. Crown and hands are original. The grainy dial texture is nice, but not one I have seen on this model before.

Hope this helps.
