Ed white dial check

I have purchase this ed white from chrono24 ,
The tritium mark glow after exposed to ordinary/ natural light. It glow for about 2-3 minutes.
Wanna know if the dial marking is original or relume ? Thanks!

Have you compared it to others? What are your thoughts?

No immediate red flags so I’d say original but really it need me to be seen in person with a loupe and uv

I can only tell you my Tritium glows for less than a minute…

Depends how dark the room is. I’ve got some tritium dials that do feintly glow for a couple of mins.
Also, many of the relies, even the good one, glow aggressively for the first few seconds before fading.

Obviously if someone has relumed using old tritium that tell can’t be used

I wonder: does older Tritium glow for less time than newer material?

Well I don’t think tritium actually glows at all. It’s the energy source for the phosphor-luminescent paint, which is why tritium dials no longer flow of their own accord - they have no energy source.
This is why when the luminescent paint excited by an external energy source (uv light), they still glow for a short period after the source has been removed.
