The MK2s are in low demand, I'd hang out for a Pro

Thanks - Any particular reason - sorry for daft question, but just moved out of my comfort zone with the 561/564 Connies and there seem to be millions of different models of speedmaster and its a complete minefield!!!! so many different movements, cases and dials!!
I know this one is a manual wind, and I would prefer an automatic, but to my untrained eye, it looks OK as an every day wearer! What would you pay for that particular one?

Reason I am asking, is he has suggested a deal for this watch with one of my connies in part ex (this one - )

I'd say its worth about $1050-1150 USD or 665-725 GBP

I'd still consider holding out for a Pro mate, a lot of people buy the Speedmaster Reduced (Automatic) or the MK2 then realise later on that it was the classic Speedy Pro they wanted all along

The MKII is a nice watch, especially one with the "racing" dial. Makes a nice alternative to the more familiar moon watch. I have mine on a grey rubber diving band, it looks stunning.

In the UK, these have been tending to go for £800-1200 for the last 6 months or so. This one looks pretty good compared to other MkII's I've seen selling on eBay for that price. It looks like a 1970 judging by the serial no. Personally, I'd like to see the starburst grain on the front of the case but it's not a big deal considering the condition of the whole watch.

In fact, I was offered two of these in far, far worse condition (but with papers) for £800 each at a watch fair last month. For the UK, I think it's hard to beat that condition at this price. Actually, I'd be very tempted myself - if it wasn't a distraction from my next target & you hadn't seen it first ;)

And racing dials are great. But more expensive
