I am unable to view watch auctions by number of bids.

There is no longer an option to do this.

    Has anyone else noticed?

    I don't understand your question..
I can see auctions and number of bids..
You mean there was a way to search auctions by number of bids ?!
    I don't get that..

He used to search for listings that were flying under the radar, but now can't do that.

I found that the number of bids rarely spoke to whether the watch was worth looking at.

    Thanks.

Yep, the best ones sometimes saw little or no action until the sniping at the very end.

Well, I know folks "tagged" auctions with low bids or just watched the items until bidding within the last few seconds (sniping)..
But this approach, didn't know existed..

I miss the good 'ole "Highest Price First" sort feature. The decision to get rid of that baffles me...

They have "price + shipping, highest first." Do you want to see it without shipping???

I noticed this change as well; disappointing to say the least.

It seemed like they were messing around with the homepage the other day as well.

Their goal seems to be to streamline the site by removing useful (if underused) features...

My sorting by most bids was more a curiosity.

I can still sort by Highest and Lowest Price on ebay uk. I'm pretty sure there was never an option to sort by number of bids but if there ever was one, it's not there now.

Just confirmed on Ebay message board that that option has been removed.

The members are not happy campers.

The single dumbest thing that eBay did re: vintage collecting was to do away with the "pre-1970" sorting tool.

    Complete morons.

I'm guessing you guys are looking at ebay.com? ebay.co.uk still allows to search by number of bids.

I think the worst eBay move was to do away with wildcard searches. If you were looking for a dive watch you used to be able to type "div* watch." Now you have to type (dive, diving, diver, divers, diver's) watch. Similarly, in the past you could search for "speedmaster 197*." Now it's "speedmaster (1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979)." Total pain.

    Yup, that's pretty bad, alright.
