No Rachel is a total sheister! DO NOT let her off so easy! I bought a 176.0016 from her that had the friggin crown fall off when I took it out of the box and tried to wind the watch/set the time. She then accused me of tampering with the watch bc I told her I shook it around to try to get the automatic movement to wind it to see if it actually worked and the watch wouldn't run for more than a few mins. I also stated none of the chrono hands reset to 0 and they had some crappy paint repairs. She then said that I was looking for things to be wrong bc her husband wore the watch with no problems for a week before they listed it so I must've mistreated it or overwound it or tampered with it. I initially took a $100 credit back from her, got the watch to wind to test it and it turned out that the constant second hand was hitting the hour hand btw 8 and 1030 am/pm and stopping the watch! And then... the incorrect replacement chrono sweep second hand popped off during a reset as I was finally able to test the chronograph! It came off with such force that it took some lume off of the hour hand. I then sent her another note after that imploring her to take this broken watch back and she finally agreed, although I haven't seen my refund yet and she's had the thing back from about 10 days.

BEWARE OF THIS SELLER! I personally think they s*ck yet they have hundreds of positive feedback. She gets almost all of her watches from Mexico and the repair work on them is awful.

Wow, seems like you got a real dog. I don't think mine is in anything like as bad shape as yours thankfully. I have fully wound it and it has a power reserve of 36 hours and apart from the problems previously stated seems fine.

@Gaz6263 Glad to hear yours is working! And Rachel did finally issue my full refund late last night, so I'm done with them. I think the bigger point of my ranting post was that it does seem to be her MO that things aren't 100% clear in pix, they aren't properly described/disclosed in the auction listing and then when you get it and can see something more clearly for yourself, she blames the buyer or says you're being overly picky or looking for things that are wrong. It was just interesting to me that you got a somewhat similar response back that I did on that front.

It initially struck me as a bit strange bc she has sterling feedback from hundreds of buyers, etc. and we had great communication prior to my receiving the watch. My experience was nothing like what others feedback described and I'm glad to be done with her as I really expected a fight when she got the watch back.

Wear the Nivada in good health and Happy Holidays!

I once bought a vintage Rolex GMT on eBay that came with a full service after purchase. They did fully service it alright, they even re-lumed the hands 🙁

Sometimes a benefit is not so great.

A year later and finally I've got the watch I wanted.
After I bought it, it went into Graham at superlative time for servicing. Unfortunately he uncovered a can of worms. Rust, dirt and general neglect led to new parts having to be found. Not that easy for a valjoux 234 I'm informed.
Anyway time passed and the watch was ready for collection, now running beautifully.
When I collected it Graham informed me it had been redialled as the sub dial at 3 should be a 45 minute counter and not the 30 minute one on the present dial.🤦
Looking on line I could see he was correct, not one dial like the one on the watch could I find.
A new search began, could I find a correct dial.
Fortunately after only a couple of months @BobXX alerted me to one on eBay. Had to have it.
Won the auction and watch and dial off to Graham again.
Final result 👍

That's a GREAT result @Gaz6263 .... these rough patches make it all the more sweet when resolved.

I think you should have kept the watch as it was, with the chrono hand and the date both slightly to the right. Seeing who just got elected, your watch would have been in vogue. A Trump Nivada Chronograph!

::rimshot::

And of course, I absolutely must post this picture whenever somebody shows an Aviator Sea Diver.

Looks like it was well worth the wait! Congrats on a beautiful (and rare) watch.
