This hung around on eBay for a while, priced somewhat high, with poor pictures. 105.003-64 with a fairly nice, original perhaps, 7912 364 bracelet with real #6 end links, fair DON bezel. Dial looked crappy. It wasn't but the photographer was.

Owner was willing to deal on price and today it arrived looking a bit worn but a lot better, in the flesh, but there was more......

THE FINE PRINT. An A5, 2998-3,4,5,6 ish dial with radium lume intact.

I have a proper A7 TT to swap and this A5 will do very nicely elsewhere in my collection.

Marc, I admire the time you have invested to develop the knowledge and experience necessary to make these kind of ebay deals.
Congrats on landing a rare part and watch for your collection.

Oddboy, I think the radium lume is indicative of an earlier 2998 dial. Although the TT dials didn't arrive until reguired by Swiss law, Tritium had been used on later 2998 and 105.002 dials.

    That's a very positive result.

I've always wanted a watch that has the word 'fap' on it. If it was on the dial, I'd have placed a bid

I think the 2998-4 was the last with radium? A wonderful pickup Gemini, knowledge is power! :)

Sorry for the novice question - but I seem to pick up from reading here that the TT wasn't initially added until required, even though the switch to tritium had been made, so tritium dials could have been placed where it still just said "Swiss Made" right? What is the indication that is is a Radium dial?
