eBay BOR Bracelet

Hello All! I’m in the process of bringing back my vintage Seamaster to its original appearance (I inherited the watch from my father over ten years ago).
I was hoping someone might be able to confirm the correct Beads of Rice bracelet for it as I have a photograph from the 60’s which shows that’s what it originally had.
After scouring this fantastic site I believe I need a
1037 / 570 BOR Bracelet
however I’d appreciate some confirmation before I seek one out to purchase.
Up until the early eighties the watch never ran but with the help of an amazing local watch maker it apparently now keeps better time than a modern day timepiece! It is being returned to me this week!
Here is the information on the watch (as I understand it):
1966 Omega Seamaster (edit from 1961)
Case ref: KL6068
Movement: 560
gold filled

And here are some pictures:

1037 will likely not be the current number. An email to Omega Customer Service should help.

Nice watch, congrats!

1068 / 70 will do also as far as I know...

70 and 570 are interchangeable

You should get a nice one with endlinks below 200 $ on the bay

Common sense here on the forum is that there is no "correct" setup because the metal bracelets were added at the point of sale

Is that timegrapher shot before or after the service? The correct lift angle for the 560 is 49º not the machine default 52º so in fact the amplitude shown there is over reading by maybe ~30º ie the true picture is that the amp is only around 200-210º which frankly isn't very good. It looks like it has been well regulated but maybe not very well serviced. If that £125 eBay machine is what your watchmaker uses, that is another indication he might not be as professional as some others. It may run just fine, but it has the potential to be healthier than that.

Looks very much like a "7 row bracelet" so 1068 or 1037 is most likely.

Be aware of that there a fake ones regularly on ebay so check here before buying

The shot is at some point AFTER service but I cannot say if it is the final reading. I really appreciate the input! I guess time will tell how well it runs / keeps time. Can you (anyone) recommend another watch maker in the U.S.? I live in Maryland, near the DC Metro area. I wanted the crystal replaced too but the one he ordered wouldn’t fit.

“Bump”
Any additional thoughts on the correct bracelet would be appreciated.
I see now this is a rare 560 calibre Seamaster. Very interesting!

correct bracelet
As mentioned earlier in this post there is no such thing like "the correct" bracelet for the 50/60s Seamaster and Constellation as bracelets were sold separatley when buying your new watch and you were free to choose from any bracelet that were available at that time.

Sirtaifun thank you for the links! (my apologies for not finding the posts from July myself - ugh) Great information! After reading them I’ve decided to be patient and buy directly from Omega a little later. In the meantime I’m going to pickup a nice complimenting leather strap. A friend suggested a Worn and Wound so I’ll look there first!

If you seek for a leather strap I suggest don`t buy around and take the original black "Alligator" from Omega with (solid) gold buckle you wont find a better one.
Price is a little hefty with around 800CHF with solid gold buckle but it`s worth every buck.
There are unsolid buckle available also.
This buckle are remakes from vintage Omega buckle from the 60s.

@teufel-hunden What's your wrist size? I have a spare gold-plated 1037/570 (and judging by your username, might even live in the same neck of the woods).

Thanks Heavytrevy.

My wrist is 7.5” (200mm). Looks like the lug to lug distance on my Seamaster is about 37mm. What size is your bracelet? Thank you!
