It's about $700 or so more expensive than the last one I remember, but that was indeed a little while back so we'll see...

After looking for one of these for ages, I found and bought one on eBay for £5k, sent payment and even offered to meet and pick it up at a Dealer or lawyer office in the sellers hometown, so they would have profit it was "delivered"....Heard nothing from the seller for weeks, and then they cancelled the sale, and gave me a refund. I can only assume they got a better offer.... I still think its the best of all the Panda dials..

Am considering one for sale elsewhere for ~$4300 USD. With 3500 made is this considered in the same class as other LE such as the Gemini IV 145.0229 with 2005 made.

I prefer the Gemini 4 much more compared to the 35th.

However, surprisingly, the 35th has always sold for more money even though many more of them were made. It will be very interesting to see where this 35th price ends.

My guess is greater than $7k. Which is insane, but these are also crazy times.

My pic below. 4 years ago I bought a 35th dial and hands and converted my 2572 to a 35th. It was before I knew a Gemini 4 existed. I bought the Gemini a few years back. I also converted the 35th back to a 3572. I am looking for a donor watch so I can get the 35th back on my wrist. I think I paid ~$250 for the dial and handset.

Oh Yeah I l am very curious to see where this final bid price would be at because there was a Malaysian Seller would offered me the pre owned Panda at a shocking US7865.
Are you freakin' kidding me ? I said I dont have that kind of money but nevertheless I'll be monitoring his progress in the local ebay market.
He actually had the Ba##s to justify his inflated outrageous price by claiming his so called research hypothetically has suggested that the Panda would float around the USD 9K magic figure in the next few years.

The Seller , a Mr Wong claimed he purchased the watch in Japan and that it came with the original bracelet , condition 9/10 but came with an aftermarket leather strap not your typical corfam style racing design. The Special box was not included , watch was kept in the regular red box case. The rest of the papers , receipts , Omega cards are intact 2017-03-16%2006.18.15.png 2017-03-16%2006.17.32.png 2017-03-16%2006.19.49.png So let's see whether his non negotiable
" experimental price evaluation " will succeed or not , it also gives me an invaluable insight into the future trends of the LE Speedy

Here is my Apollo 35th flanked by a pair of Gemini4s. I notice that the pushers in the eBay auction appear to be of the "high hat" variety and I'm not sure if these are original. They differ from mine but I've see others on the the net with both types of pushers. Opinions?

Edit: Perhaps just the angle and the lighting. Rear pictures appear ok.

It must be illegal surely for anyone to own two Gemini - you have to sell one to me immediately! ;)

Just a reminder of the 'special' case back.

I expect the bidding would be more spirited if the watch was offered Internationally, but the seller has limited it to the US from what I can see.

This will go for over 7k. I hope!

I just payed a lot for one.

Most of these are now in the hands of desperate collectors and though it is a LE of 3500 the scarce nature of it makes it feel like a sub 2000 LE.

Three years is a long time in the collectable watch world, some newly sought after watches have multiplied in price several times in that period.

Yep, I second that. The Gemini is kind of special with that nice shimmering blue dial and bezel... it's my favorite Speedmaster. Strange wise Geminis have not been offered in the recent past, where Apollo XI popped up from time to time. So actually a Gemini should be worth more.

BTW, here is my little Speedy collection:

That is a nice collection! It looks like a vertical collection I like that...

I recently met a good but strange guy which is more... Horizontal :) ( 16*105012, 10*105003 and others....)
Finally I understood where all the speedies were....

Will be interesting to see where this lands ...

Went to a local watch dealer yesterday and asked him if he had any "old" speedmasters for offer...

He handed me this, asking 3,5k€

    IMG_6407.JPG

I got uber exited.... then I turned the watch around ...

    IMG_6408.JPG

Well... no luck this time ...
