Looks like a solid gold Ref BA 396.806 Stardust aventurine dial MegaQuartz is selling on eBay, up to $6,000 already... interesting to see this because we'll get to see where the market values these pieces for the first time in an auction setting http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-OME...147252345?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3ccd96d679Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network These are seriously beautiful watches... if you had one quartz in your long term collection, this would be it

Respectable Member flame It is one of a kind and just so captivating. It is a dream watch for most enthusiasts, surely. Good luck and show us more pictures of the watch, once it is yours. Thank-you.
Hi, to all of You. One mounth a go, my fathers died and live me one( Omega stardust, gold). We´re 4 brothers and we are thinking to sell it. We don´t know, where to go, and now I´ve found this website. One question: Do you know what will be a good price to sell it? We´ve two buyers and we don´t know if the offers are enought. Thanks Giorgio The watch is perfect.(my father only used three or four times in his life)...
Hi Giorgio, welcome to Omega Forums. Sorry for your loss. First, we'd need to see clear pictures of the watch. Next, we'd need to know exactly what the offers were to tell you if they're fair or not.
She's sure a beaut. I'd like to add that an unpolished Rolex dd 18k oysterquartz looks pretty darn good as well and doesn't appear to carry the same premium. A good example WG oysterquartz (there aren't many in the world) will only fetch +4/5k over melt value and YG even less. unless someone can prove me wrong, I figure there's only about 900 - 1200 of these things left which makes it über rare (for a rolex).
Thanks to all of you for you quick answers. I´ll bring the photos as soon as posible. the offers we´ve are: 15.500€ and 18.000€.(jewel seller). I´m writting you from Europe-Spain. king regards
I genuinely love these golden monsters, they truly do represent the absolute apex of that era of quartz engineering, I'd actually own one over a rare Speedmaster if the money was right but purely a matter of preference. That and hanging around Dennis is turning me into a bit of a pimp too.
Hi I love these early quartz f2.4's....here's a picture of my 18k Stardust which sold for approx £5.5k GBP and had a £1k service with Swiss Time Services: the steel ones are pretty cool too ! Best - Neil
These are excellent offers, especially since the price of gold had gone down quite a bit since the one in the first post got sold at $12.5k...
make sure, you have omega museum papers and that it works just fine. very nice; i`m just not into gold watches.... kind regards. achim
