Early70’s moonwatch Apollo XI caseback only delivered to Japan?

Moonwatch only book says that the model is rare and only delivered to Japan. Should I be suspicious of a 1971 extract citing delivery of said model to Venezuela? Thanks for any info anyone may have.

Well you should always be suspicious.

if you want help here, then we would need much more from you in the form of photos, front back inside and any extra will be good and get more responses.

Yes you should be suspicious...
That means maybe a replaced movement, from a 145.022 delivered to Venezuela, with the corresponding Omega extract.
Or someone who found this caseback somewhere...?...
But not normal, for sure.

that’s exactly what I’m talking about. It’s not impossible that omega sent some of these outside of Japan but I haven’t been able to find a single reference to one outside of Japan. The seller wants an exorbitant amount of money for it. Based on the extract, I’m out. A good 1971 example will show up eventually.

All of the archival shipping countries I checked for 145.022 STRAIGHT WRITING Apollo XI that I researched for this thread were Japan.

In April this year a member here posted on his Instagram (cool.side.ot.moon) about one that was delivered to Switzerland.

That’s one hell of a memory you have!! I found the post you referred to. I sent him a PM in the hopes he may have something to add to the question. Thanks a lot. That is the only example I’ve seen delivered outside of Japan. It’s a rare thing but not impossible I guess.

Asking 18,500 Euro. That’s pretty steep.
