What reference do we have here? Unfortunately I don’t have a photo of the inside of the caseback but everything looks correct except perhaps the crown. Serial dates watch to early 1950s.

Not a Seamaster. Maybe a US gold-filled case.

That would be my thought as well. I've seen/had these in 14k solid gold as well.

Why do you believe it’s a US case? Is it because of a type of screw on caseback design?

Typical for watches known to be of US origin.

And the lug type is typically found on US watches, in my experience. I don't believe I've seen a 12-sided screwdown caseback before on a Swiss case either.

Any guess as to the possible case manufacturer? I know there were a number of them such as Dennison, Wadsworth, etc.

I believe this is a Wadsworth case. Steel retainer ring on the back indicates a gold-filled case, solid gold would have a gold ring.

Mine says Hi! I also don't know the reference but mine is 14k gold filled. Crown also wrong I believe and has a couple marks on the dial - but not a terrible example nonetheless 50s Omega bumper.JPG

Isn’t it 35 mm? If so, it’s not necessarily very small for a dress watch
