Early Seamaster Calendar?

I took a flyer on this one for the dial online and was somewhat pleasantly surprised. I bought it primarily for the early dial which seemed at least better than the one on my 14k 2627 example. Upon opening I found that it had ref K6248 stamped inside. Hats off to X350 XJR for info in a past post that Id'd it as I was totally confused. The other confusing thing was the 355 movt I found inside as well. I'm assuming I would not lessen the value of either watch by switching this onto my 353 sn12###### movt in my 14k?

Am I correct in assuming (I know that's a risk) that the Cal. 355 is not correct for either the case or the dial? If so would I be making my 353 "more correct" by switching out the extremely poor redial in favor of this original, if alligatored original early one?
