Agree with Hoi on this one, a 2699.

@Norfolk, @hoipolloi, and @Biezmez Thank you for the responses. The watch was inherited by a family member and I was asked about it. My knowledge of Omega is very limited but after some research, my guess was 2699. This was based on the rounded, applied Omega emblem, crossed t's in Constellation, and screw-back case. @hoipolloi Based on the first photo alone, could it not have been a 2700, as well?

Additionally, I am curious about: (1) the drilled lugs, which seem to be atypical for a 2699, (2) am I correct in assuming that the crystal has been replaced due to the absence of an Omega logo? (3) the minute hand appears unusually long, (4) is the alignment of the Omega emblem (or the text below it) off? The M of Swiss Made also seems unusually covered.

Thank you in advance for any insight.

P.S. Regrettably, I have not been able to open the watch yet.

I can confirm that is a 2699 de Luxe dial with crew in case back.
2700 has a snapback and the logo is not rounded like 2699.
Yes, the hands look a bit long and the Swiss Made is correct.
I owned one and here is a photo, there is an omega logo on the crystal and it is the earliest one I know that has Omega logo on the crystal .

Thank you for this information. I encountered your watch in my research.

It seems that some 2699's have dials with flatter emblems and uncrossed t's (in Constellation). Below are two such examples. Do you know who made these dials? I am not familiar with the mark MU.

@MSNWatch, @mondodec, @cristos71 I wonder if any of you have seen other 2699's with drilled lugs? Additionally, do you know who made the dials above?

    Thanks in advance.

FWIW: The dial above in the watchguy pics belongs to a 2699 produced in December 1954, according to the extract. I‘ve also tried to find out more about the MU dial manufacturer, without success. You encounter those dials a lot, however.
I believe that the first batch of de luxe Constellations had dials with crossed ts and rounded logo, afterwards they switched to semi-crossed with the flatter logo.

When researching dial makers for my book on 30 mm Chronometers I came across a dial marked MU and asked here on OF about the manufacturer without any satisfactory response.
After that I found a dial with the inscription "Merusa" on its rear side.
My assumption: MU could well be the abbreviation for the dial manufacturer Merusa - but this is not proven, just a theory...

I appreciate the information, thank you. I would be curious to know which country it was originally sent to. The only extract that I have seen (below) intrigued me as there is no mention of the 18K dial, which differs from a Centenary extract, further below.

Mine was delivered to Curacao, of all places. And it also came with a silver box, though a different model box. :)
All ref. OT 2699 would have 18K dials since all are de luxe models. My extract is identical in that respect. The mention of a gilt dial in the Centenary extract would suggest that that particular dial is not 18K.

A search on mikrolisk mention the brand MU and Merusa SA so I guess you are on to something:thumbsup:

@Radiumpassion and @aprax I appreciate the continued input. Below are a few more MU-signed dials that I have found so far. I wonder if all rail-track dials were made by Merusa?
