Omega Ref.2374 if I understand your question correctly. Followed by the Ref.2375.

You understand me absolutely correct.
But I also think the two references 2374 and 2375 were produced at the same time.
Omega liked to produce two references together, one with sub sec and one with central seconde.
The reason I asked because I just won an old bumper in attached photos.

Best regards.

Hoi.

My understanding is that Omega introduced bumper automatics in 1943. Your watch is consistent with that.

I don’t know the earliest serial numbers on this caliber, but numbers less than 10 million are very unusual.

Let’s see the rest of it!

Hoi.
My understanding is that the Cal. 30.10RA PC was first produced in 1943, soon followed by the 28.10 RA PC both have sub seconds. Most have serials in the 10mio. But I don't have the knowledge of older collectors here. Here some sources that suggest both came at the same time.

Here’s an early 2374. I’ve heard these style dials referred to as military references but know nothing more about that claim.

movement needs some love

I think that may be due to the weird idea that some people have that a watch with arabic numerals = military.

I cannot for the life of me fathom it.

My understanding is that dealers understood that civilians are ready to shill out large chunks of cash for "Military" Watches. In this case it's complete bs.

These don’t trade for big money so I don’t what you mean by “in this case.”

They are typically 500-700 dollars on eBay when not from a dealer.

Do you have any information to share to support your statement?

...I think you misunderstood the post. The 'military' part is what in this case is bs, as there is no connection and it used to driveup the price. It's seen on numerous other occasions, most of the times bs as well.

I'm sorry if I got misunderstood, I meant it more as a general term used by dealers to describe unknown watch brands and ask silly prices. Ebay and local sites is full of it. Not talking about the Ref.2374

Here my Ref.2374-3 with the same dial as yours.

@hoipolloi I wonder if we could get one of your dudes in asia to make replacement caseback retaining rings, they are often missing from these watches and there are at least 3 references with this case. That a lot of customers. Or maybe @Pahawi has a way to do it on a lathe?
Put me down for 2.

Hey there. It’s basically a case back bezel. A Favre-Perret patent supposedly.
Maybe a forum member could send you one to look at? Anyone have one around?

From my point of view, a watch with radium arabic numerals, radium hands and no gold content is good for a soldier to put on when he served his country.
Call it military or not is up to you.

It'd also be the perfect watch for a postman at work in the early hours of the day or for a milkman doing his rounds.
