Dynamic an ugly watch or a fascinating gamble of style?

My first Omega purchase was a Dynamic over 6 years ago, and I've bought and sold several since then. I'm down to the blue and the white/blue bullseye now. I've found them a gateway drug into other Omega watches as well so beware! 😉. I sadly got rid of my bracelet along the way, but there are several different Omega straps including a deployant, and non-OEM straps you can customize with.

I had a chance to buy one a couple years ago at a shop that offered vintage watches.

They wouldn't open it to have a look at the movement. I walked out.

You can’t open it very easily as it’s a front loader, so that’s understandable. You take out the crystal and the dial to get access to the mouvement. There are very few sales posts with a movement shot on these refs.

Unless it's overpriced, I figure it's a good gamble that if the dial and case are in good shape, the movement will be too. Because it's inaccessible.

I have the same model and dial as @theluckyluke above.
It's not just one of my favoUrite Omegas, it's one of my favoUrite watches. The Blue sliver blue bullseye may be fairly common, but get a good original one and they are stunning. Really comfortable too.

The Dynamic was the first Omega that really stood out to me - I wanted one for quite some time, even before I joined this forum. It's just such an interesting design, the oval shape really sits well on the flat of the wrist (which was the main idea for the shape). And the 752 movement in mine works very well.

Also, it's another one of those "1970s designs" that dates back solidly to the (late) 1960s. Lots of stuff that I thought was quintessentially "Seventies" in style seems to originate in the years between 1965 and 1969, it was an interesting time in watchmaking.

This article made for some nice reading (besides the constellation blogpost by Desmond, which was super helpful for me as an interested buyer):
