I am struggling with different opinions among Omega enthusiasts. But do you think this model is so ugly? 😀😀😀😀 I may be lucky enough to have much more important Omega watches in my collection but in wanting a vintage Omega combat watch or choosing this gamble. what do you think, what more information can you give me about the movement and the history of this watch so particular in shape with the name Dynamic?

In your opinion, is one rarer than the other? Are they equally sought after among collectors?

When it comes to an Omega popularity contest, Dynamics probably rank near the bottom, but some collectors hold a special affection for them. I think they're a fun chunk of funk. And I'd love to get hold of a good 'racing dial' example, which are rarer than designs like the 'bullseye', but by no means unobtainable. You also have a nice raised baton design with a cool colour scheme. Have a dig around here if you haven't already: https://omega-constellation-collect...10/omega-geneve-dynamic-i-best-seller-of.html

Although I'm a neophyte when it comes to Omega, this thread is timely given one of our members at RedBarYYC brought his dynamic to last night's get together. What intrigued me was the seemingly asymmetric case..

They're not widely popular, but they are quirky and obviously some people like them. I picked one up out of curiosity years ago, but it didn't really appeal to me.

I like them. Reminds me of my youth in the 1960s with the mix of mid century modern and brutalist style.

The ladies versions have a large 18mm dial (dyle) which I like as well. The no date often uses the really rare 630 caliber.

The gents versions use the wonderful 552 or 565 movements. This makes them amongst the finest mechanical watches ever made.

Prices are competitive with the other low end Omega watches, so they may not be all that underrated.

They remind me of many funky and colorful Seiko watches from 70s that were aimed at the younger crowd.

...........who is now...me.
I like them when I'm in a funky mood. Quirky but well made.

I’m a fan! Here’s my very early reference: 135.0033 from 1968 with a Cal: 601 which I’m coincidentally wearing today.
I find the one you posted, which came without brushing, a bit bulbous and, in my opinion, an even less desirable reference… but then again, to each their own.

Bought on impulse, wanting to dare with a model that stands out from all my other Omegas. Different in every way!! A low price for a sporty, braceleted, automatic Omega. I didn't check the versions or value. It was there, it was captivating, just what it needed to win me over.

I grew to like Dynamic styling only since joining the Forum. I would entertain acquisition of one, especially a racing dial or bulls eye model.

I like mine too - particularly for the peculiar shape and the vibrant colors - which you don’t see too often on vintage.

I have a first gen, which I find more appealing with the case finish.

A nice and cheap entry into the vintage world - and a hunt that’s not too difficult!
