Dumb Questions About Crystal Scratches

I must be using way too much for each application 😬

It doesn't take much. I use a cotton ball, and put some on the ball, and a little on the crystal. Once I'm done, I put that cotton ball in a sealed plastic bag, and use it again next time. Often I don't have to even add more Polywatch to the cotton ball or crystal if the scratches are minor, so what's already in the ball does the job. Every so often I change the cotton ball, but I have probably only used 2 or maybe 3 tubes of Polywatch over the last 10 years, and I polish a ton of crystals.

Not hardly, but I was throwing it away instead of saving it like Archer.
There are “duh” moments like this (keep the cotton ball in a ziplock) that sometimes smack you in the face as genius and how was I such an idiot.
I helped a friend paint her house once and at the end of the first day, she wrapped the rollers in ziplocks with rubber bands, brushes were in a solo cup of paint (for edging and trim) with cling wrap and rubber band….I was prepared for 3 hours of cleaning up and then having to do it all over again the next day….genius!

Yeah, and my wife additionally puts the ziplock wrapped rollers in the freezer if she's not going to get back to a painting project for a few days.

TBH in the four years I’ve had my hesalite Speedy I’ve only used Polywatch once (and I wear the watch 99% of the time). There’s always been a lot of worry and fear about scratching hesalite on the forum, but after initially worrying about this I hardly think about it now and the watch crystal is fine.

Having said that, Mother Fate has probably decreed that today I’m going to smack it into a door frame 😉
